Hi everyone! Welcome to our recap of the awesome Banana Open! This international level snowboard slopestyle event was held last weekend in the Wanda Harbin Snowdome, the world's largest indoor snowsports centre, and featured loads of international and local shredders, tearing it up on a course build by us, Yibu Snowparks!
The general manager Mr. Harry He is holding his patented snow blower to blow snow onto the ski-ramp.
The world ski-boarding game Banana open is due to be launched in 10 days, the two ski-ramps are still scaffolding and wooden board with no snow on it. Normally when the ramp is built and ready they start the snow making system to pave snow on the ramp. In this case, the snow making system has created tremendous amount of heat during snow making process, the water sprayed from roof are still water when it hits the ground, so for 30 days, they still cannot make the snow.
The ramp shaper Mr. Yibu from Yibu snow park suggested the owner of this world largest indoor ski-center that Fahrentec refrigeration can offer help by leasing them F30E snow blower for 3 days in order to refresh the snow and blow it on top of ramp.
Time is running out, the decision is made quickly. 5 days before the game starts, Fahrentec F30E finally entered the ski-center after more than 3000km travel from the center of nation to ice and snow capital Haierbin of the far north east. A short meeting has united 20 people from more than 10 countries to an international snow blowing team, everyone took their assigned tasks, some are operating the snow blower, some helps to shovel the snow from ground to the machine, the snow ramp finally is completed after an intensive 48 hours shifts round work.
At the last stage, the representative from Banana Open official tested the quality of the snow, yes, Fahrentec has made its name loud and glorious when he approved the snow quality is suitable for international competition.
We deeply cherish the friendship during this international team mission. The memorable experience and sweat, laughter.
